Cool blog. I linked it to my site (http://docs50.blogspot.com). I have read everything on your list, with two exceptions. As you might expect, one of those was Doc and Fluff. It sounds ... uh ... "interesting." Perdido Street Station is on my list to read as well.
Yeah, Doc and Fluff's an odd one. Too much plot for porn, too much hardcore sex for a regular sf novel. But Perdido Street Station's one of the best-written books I've ever read, and that's saying a lot. It's not a quick one by any means, but it's well worth it.
'Mistress of Silence' by Jacqueline Harpman is an astoundng dystopian book.
Also 'House of the Scorpion' by Nancy Farmer!!
