My friend just picked me up a copy of Lord of the Flies for me at a $1 book store in the DC area. First of all, books make the best gifts. Second, a $1 book store sounds like heaven to me.
All fiction I could deal with. All romance, I wouldn't be a bit interested. Although, I confess that I did flip through some of the more hardcore romance novels as a hormonal preteen, looking for the dirty bits.

Someone I knew years and years ago took Abbie Hoffman's 'Steal this book' literally. Mind you, it always struck me as embarrassing to actually buy it.
Even cheaper than a $1 bookstore :D

It's the Friends of the Library bookstore, underneath the Wheaton Library in Wheaton, MD.
A $1 book store would be awesome, as long as it all isn't fiction and romance.
