Your papers and genetic code, please.

It creeps me out and feeds my paranoia that the US government intends to collect DNA from anyone who is arrested, regardless of conviction.

And I know where they got the idea from - the UK Criminal Justice Act 2003 - whereby DNA can be taken on arrest without more (no need for conviction or even charge!) and stored for 100 years. We are the pioneers for the database state over here...
